Incredibly Cool

In 2008, we launched Incrediblycool.ca for Destination Winnipeg, Winnipeg’s economic and tourism development agency.
The site is designed specifically to attract individuals to the city, and was promoted using Facebook ads and a Youtube video, called “Does Winnipeg REALLY Exist?”
The video uses brief clips from Hollywood movies and TV shows that refer to Winnipeg, from Alfred Hitchcock’s 39 Steps onwards.
In addition to the Youtube and Facebook videos, Jetpack Media launched a P.R. campaign, which was picked up in all the local major media outlets, as well as featured nationally on CTV’s weekend version of Canada AM, and even some papers in the United States. It also garnered a mention in Maclean’s Magazine.
The media coverage, as well as viral connections on e-mail and through Facebook, means the youtube video has “gone viral” with over 16,000 44,000 50,0000 views in 12 weeks.
Here is a second video, entitled, “OK, Maybe Winnipeg Exists”
We also created a third video – a time-lapse bike ride of the longest skating rink in the world, from Assiniboine Park to the Forks
